Canwest se dépasse: "the all-time worst Canadian"

Franchement le Rédacteur de Canwest et Randy Boswell désespèrent pour vendre leur savon. La photo de Louis Riel apparaît aujourd'hui dans le cahier frontispice "Nation" auprès de celle de vilains canadiens: Harold Ballard, Clifford Olson, Karla Homolka, et Emily Murphy(???). Several other names frequently mentioned are controversial sports figures — including Johnson, the late Harold Ballard, owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Hamilton Tiger- Cats, toughtalking hockey coach/ commentator Don Cherry, and former player agent/ ex- convict Alan Eagleson.

Emily Murphy, a leading campaigner for women’s rights in the 1920s who harboured racist views, has been nominated by some readers, said Morrison.

She said contemporary Canadians dominated the early listings but readers have begun probing the “ deeper past” for nominees who left their dark mark on the country many generations ago.

Morrison acknowledged the quest to identify the worst person from Canada’s past is “ very subjective. We’re intending this to be light and informative.”

Light and informative, hmm??? Le Canard a donc participé au concours du media The Beaver et a voté pour Daffy Duck "because he quacks". Peut-être aurait-il dû plutôt voter pour Canwest pour répéter de telles niaiseries sans aucun discernement??? Tant qu'à dérailler pour vendre leur journal, Canwest aurait bien pu ajouter en photo un représentant gay, noir, asiatique et muslim respecté par ces communautés. C'est beau la liberté d'expression, mais ça vient aussi avec des responsabilités, bande de crétins!!!

Mais bon, y'a plus rien qui m'étonne même si ça m'enrage...
